A Word of Introduction

I am delighted to welcome you to this new interactive channel of insights, LEAP. Here, we will focus on advancing the eight pathways of transformative change articulated by Resilience Frontiers, the UN’s most comprehensive foresight initiative.

Many of you will have participated in at least one of our Resilience Frontiers foresight brainstorming events, adding valuable insight and wisdom that we have used to continuously shape and evolve our initiative, and I thank you for your ongoing input.

Your active engagement will also be a key feature of LEAP. And, like everything else we do at Resilience Frontiers, it will be unique, moving us beyond the boxes we so often think in, and putting the eight Resilience Frontiers pathways in our hands, so that we can use them to creatively co-design the future we all desire to see.

Through this ambitious new channel, you will experience the existing initiatives, practices and ventures already making the leap to a future that is aligned with our pathways. You will also have the chance to interact with the visionary ideas of inspiring thought leaders, who will open your mind to a future characterized by sustainability, equity, and resilience – the very future that the eight pathways are creating.

Furthermore, you can be a significant part of this journey towards permanent resilience and wellbeing, which will gather momentum from first-mover actions inspired by the eight pathways, shifting our extractive and predatory relationship with nature to one that is regenerative and mutually nurturing.

Across three editions a year, each themed by a pathway, you will discover the amazing impact Resilience Frontiers is making – as we move ever closer to the desirable world emerging from our pathway actions: our novel blueprint for a desirable future.

I look forward to discovering what this channel can achieve and invite you to use it imaginatively, to accelerate the journey along the eight pathways to a resilient world.

Best wishes
