Haiku Futures

In the 8 weeks leading up to COP28 in Dubai, from 5 October, the Hot Poets, in collaboration with Resilience Frontiers, will be making a new series of participatory haiku and photography films called ‘Haiku Futures’.

Each Haiku Futures film will take inspiration from one of the Resilience Frontiers pathways to a more desirable world and will include a diverse and international weave of haiku ideas and photographic innovation, gathered from contributions made online and across the world.

The weekly films will cover the eight Resilience Frontiers Pathways. Each week we will launch a new call, inviting a diverse range of audiences to submit and share their haiku poetry ideas through social media, bringing to life in a few words and feelings the innovations and actions they believe have the potential to re-write our future. We will also be asking for original photographs of projects, activities or inspirations taking place in communities, towns, school, cities, gardens, window boxes and workplaces. The things that make the world and people’s lives better. The things that give you hope.

We will read, and engage with everything posted, selecting 50 of the best contributions each week to weave into 8 powerful films, released every Thursday and shared globally (with your help) through this page and the Hot Poets page, social media, and our many friends and partners.

The films will also become a powerful new collection of ideas and inspiration, showcased at the Resilience Frontiers Pavilion at COP28 in Dubai, with the best ideas platformed on the global stage.

Find out more about how to create and submit your Haikus here. We will be posting the videos and updates on this page and on the Hot Poets website. We will share more information soon about our plans and programme for the Resilience Frontiers Pavilion at COP 28.
